Approximately 1200 residents call Springfield home. During the
warm summer months, occupancy drops as seasonal owners
return to their northern roots and others enjoy extended
vacations to cooler climes. Still, many homeowners continue to
be employed in the Greater Phoenix area, choosing the lifestyle
of our active community for their evenings and weekends.
All visitors to Springfield must enter at the Main Gate located on
McQueen Road one half mile south of Riggs Road. Gate hours
are 6am to 7pm and all non-resident vehicles are recorded by
gate personnel. The Main Gate must be notified when residents
are expecting guests or service people. A second entrance from
Riggs Road is available for residents only.
Houses range in size from 1100 sq ft to 2400 sq ft. with
concrete tile roofs and stucco exteriors. Over twelve models with
options on front elevations and many earthtone color
combinations give variety to each neighborhood. Most yards are
landscaped with crushed stone and low maintenance desert
plantings.
The Architectural Review Committee consists of owner -
residents who review all requests for exterior or landscape
changes to ensure compliance with The Springfield Design
Guidelines. The ARC meets the second and fourth Tuesday of
each month. Additionally, the HOA General Manager makes
periodic tours to note neighborhood aesthetics. The Springfield
Community is more beautiful today than when the developer
completed the project as homeowners have added individuality
and maturity to each yard and home.
